Today I have been working filling orders and getting new inventory done. I sure wish that Santa would send some of his elves to help because I could use them for sure! I decided to take a little break and write a long overdue blog post.
So far this Christmas has been a little different. We are home, which is good and bad. It means Britt is inbetween jobs, but that just part of what he does. It is nice to be home though and be with family for the whole season instead of just a few days.
A few weeks ago, Jacque (my sister) and I decided that we needed to put up a real Christmas tree instead of a fake one this year. So we loaded up with Britt and Mom and set out to find a little more traditional tree lot. We drove past plenty of your run of the mill parking lot stands, but we had something a little more nostalgic in mind. So, we did what anyone would do, we all pulled out our phones and searched Google for Christmas tree farms. We found one in Ozark, which is just a stone's throw down the highway. We headed off down the road and didn't know quite what lay in store.
When we pulled up we were so excited that we had decided to pass up all the parking lots for what we were about to venture in to. I forgot to mention that it had snowed the night before. It was just a light dusting, but it was just enough to add that extra something to our Christmas tree hunt.

We got the tree up and decorated
This place really was a good kickoff to the Christmas season! I do believe that it is going to be a part of our Christmases for years to come, as long as they are still there!
There is nothing better than a fresh cut Christmas tree. Candles are great but the real thing is always better!
Now that Christmas is just around the corner and the house is decorated, I need to get back to work!
Merry Christmas to Everyone!
